Notes: Author: Attributed both to Samuel G. Goodrich and George Mogridge (better known as Old Humphrey). Probably based on S.G. Goodrich's Peter Parley's tales about Great Britain, published in 1832 (as in NUC pre-1956, 206:466) and/or 1834, which Goodrich lists as one of his original works in Recollections of a lifetime, II,540. However, BM, 180:799 gives the author as George Mogridge who may have edited and/or added to this text. Goodrich also lists, in Recollections, II,551 and 554, two works with similar titles which were either counterfeits or piratings, one of them published by Tegg in 1842.
